Melinda Staten, MSN, CNS, ARNP, RDMS

Melinda Staten is a graduate of the University of Kentucky. She earned her graduate degree from Bellarmine University in Louisville and her post-graduate degree from the University of Louisville. She has over 28 years of experience in the healthcare field and has been a Nurse Practitioner since 1987. She specializes in urogynecology with an emphasis in prolapse, incontinence, interstitial cystitis, and male erectile dysfunction. She has worked with Dr. Hubbard since 1994.

Jan Eklund, MSN, ARNP

Jan Eklund earned her degree in women’s health from the University of Louisville. She has over 26 years of experience in the healthcare profession, primarily in OB/GYN. In 1999, she redirected her practice toward urogynecology, with particular emphasis in bladder disorders and female sexual dysfunction. She has worked with Dr. Hubbard since 1999.

Lois Obert, RN, MSN, ARNP

Lois Obert earned her Master of Science Degree in Nursing from Aurora University in Chicago. She earned her Nurse Practitioner certification in Family Practice from Spalding University in Louisville. She brings to The Hubbard Clinic great expertise in urodynamic studies. She earned her certification as a urodynamic from Vanderbilt University, having performed over 3,000 video and water urodynamic studies. She also has over 15 years of teaching experience, and has worked with Dr. Hubbard since 2002.

Mary Becker, RN, MSN, ARNP

Mary Becker is a graduate of the University of Louisville. She earned her masters in nursing and women’s health nurse practitioners degree in 1995. She earned her adult nurse practitioners certification in 2003. She has 37 years of experience in caring for women. She provides full gynecological services specializing in menopausal issues and bioidentical hormone replacement. She has seen female patients with urological problems such as urgency, frequency, incontinence, and other bladder issues. Mary joined the Hubbard Clinic in 2005.

“I have always enjoyed caring for women. They have specific needs and concerns which I hope to address with them on an individual basis. I recently joined the staff at the Hubbard Clinic and hope to see my former patients at this office.”

Melissa Burkhead, LPN

Melissa Burkhead graduated with high distinction honors from Jefferson Community and Technical College for Practical Nursing. My motivation is to help people and bring light and enjoyment to anyone whose path I cross. I am a very compassionate person with a positive outlook on everything. While I am outgoing and easy to talk to, I am willing to admit if I am unsure of something and will make every attempt to find the appropriate answer.

Leslie Wahl, LPN

Leslie graduated from Spencerian College in 2005 as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Prior to coming to The Hubbard Clinic in summer 2007, she has worked in long term care and family practice. Leslie is very excited to be a part of our team. Her title at The Hubbard Clinic is Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation Specialist.

Sandy Nasief, Medical Assistant

Sandy Nasief has worked alongside Dr. Hubbard since 1992 and is a trained Medical Assistant

Mary Lou Schmitt, Medical Assistant

Mary Lou Schmitt is a graduate of the University of Louisville with a degree in Special Education. She taught school until the birth of her first child, after which she stayed home with her seven children until the youngest started school. Mary Lou has personal experience taking care of the elderly as she cared for her parents and aunt for many years. She joined the team at The Hubbard Clinic in 2003. Mary Lou is a Medial Assistant and helps all four Nurse Practioners. She has extensive experience in Urodynamics.

Kathra Swift, Medical Assistant

Kathra Swift joined The Hubbard Clinic in June 2007. She has worked in EMS as a paramedic for three years, as well as a Medical Assistant for many years.

Jill Watts has been a Medical Assistant for several years. She is a “people person” who enjoys helping others and feels that she touches people’s lives in a special way.

Lindy Oechslin, Practice Administrator

Lindy joined The Hubbard Clinic in August 2002, shortly after graduating from the University of Louisville with a Bachelor of Arts. Outside of her duties at The Hubbard Clinic, Lindy is happily married to her high school sweetheart and has two young daughters.
